La Playa Estrella Beach Resort

I recently had the pleasure of staying at La Playa Resort in Bantayan Island Cebu, and my experience was nothing short of fantastic. The beachfront is simply awesome, offering a breathtaking view that enhances the overall resort ambiance. The culinary delights at La Playa Resort were great. We loved the chicken curry. The prices are reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of the food served. One notable aspect of our stay was exceptional customer service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. When faced with a room for two instead of three due to high occupancy, the staff not only allowed us to add an extra person but surprised us by bringing in a full bed frame along with the mattress. This unexpected level of service truly exemplifies 5-star customer experience. Moreover, the spaciousness of the room for two made the addition of an extra bed frame seamless. The staff's willingness to accommodate our request with such generosity left a lasting impression. In conclusion, La Playa Resort is undeniably worth every penny. I highly recommend this establishment for its fantastic amenities, delightful cuisine, and, most importantly, the exceptional customer service. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Pros: value for the money, catering staff and friendly, private location and well maintained beach. Cons: doors are made of glass, so it is easy to hear noises outside of your room. Poor management, other guest noises are not policed, so if a big loud group comes (which they do trust me). It is very annoying and will disturb your sleep. Food is so-so, 3/5 stars, okay in a pinch but there are better options downtown. Overall: it's good enough to be 3.5-4 stars. But if you want a nice and relaxing time, there are better options.

Location: 10mins away from Sta. Fe Port, free shuttle Food: We enjoyed the fries! And the breakfast. Service: Staffs are welcoming and polite, some are not so attentive Rooms: CR has a bad smell. Bidet and showerhead are very very dirty. They should buy new things and improve their rooms. Bedsheets and pillowcases are yellowish and with stain. Also the lightning is very dim. No TV inside. Rating: 4/10

This place is my favorite resort by far. Budget friendly resort with good service. Clean and very helpful staff. I love how comfortable and clean their rooms are. I also love their food. They have a bar and they also have bbq and karaoke nights on weekends. they allow small pets so my parrot was happy the she's welcome in this place ❤️ i recommend new visitors to book this place. They have a gym, golf area, playground, billiards, kayak and they also offer a massage.

Better than other neighbouring resorts in the area, food are not that expensive and the place is well maintained, even their beachfront is clean. Staff are courteous and friendly. A suggestion though, access to the gym and use of billiard should be free to those who have checked in so that the experience will be more enjoyable considering that the resort doesn’t have a swimming pool. For sure, guests will be coming back if these amenities will be provided free of additional charges.

Not very understanding at all, had to change my trip due to some unforeseen circumstances and gave them 7 days notice but they refused to refund. Paid for a nights stay without ever attending really disappointing to see this in the tourism industry never had issues like this in other areas etc would have understood a cancellation fee but the inability to be flexible whatsoever due to a personal issue is really frustrating. Sure the venue would have been nice but won't ever rebook

The place is great it is peaceful, our room was fine but it has a dim lights. They have strict rules, one of it is not allowed to bring drinks and food from outside because they have bar and restaurant inside. One thing also is that you shouldn't be making noise to disturb other guests but their neighboring resort is really noisy, kids are so noisy playing around at night. Friday night they have barbecue, I ordered tanguigi, chicken grill and pork soup, but pork soup arrives followed by the tanguigi fish but grilled chicken wasnt served. Note bring exact amount of money to pay because everytime we pay they dont have change and need to wait til morning to get it or wait few hours to have the change. I ordered chicken tocino, sunny side up egg that is messed up but my boyfriends order was served better tho, I dont like my food being served in cheap way while Im paying the right amount. And we had a tour, I give you some advices, don't go to Kugtong Cave the entrance fee isn't worth it to go there. If you want to do City tour just rent a motorbike and go with yourself. Thank You
